Chris Merrilees is an articling student at Evans, Philp LLP having previously been a summer student with the firm in 2021. He completed his undergraduate at Western University in Business and Medical Sciences, and worked as an insurance adjuster before attending law school. Chris completed his Juris Doctor from Western Law, while there he was a founding member of Western’s Personal Injury and Insurance Law Association, which works to educate his fellow law students about this area of practice and to facilitate connections with employers. In addition, he was a member of Western’s Health Law Association helping run an annual Medical Malpractice moot competition for the school.

Outside of the law, Chris has a long history of involvement with Scouts Canada, in particular with Camp Adventureland, having contributed in various roles since 2008. He is an avid camper and skier, having skied on three Olympic Hills.
