ROBERT L.D. Smith
Robert Smith joined Evans, Philp in 2011 as an associate in the insurance law department.
Born in Hamilton, Ontario, Robert received a Bachelor of Arts degree in History from McMaster University, a Juris Doctor from Osgoode Hall Law School in 2009 and a Masters of Law from the University of Toronto in 2011. He was called to the Bar in 2010.
While at Osgoode Hall, Robert was the recipient of the Osler, Hoskin & Harcourt Prize for research in Corporate/Commercial Law, the Harry R. Rose Prize for Criminal Law and the Bereskin & Parr Prize for Copyright Law. During his Masters degree, Robert received a University of Toronto Fellowship.
Prior to joining Evans, Philp, Robert worked as a summer student at a litigation boutique in Toronto and clerked at the Federal Court of Canada in Ottawa.
Robert is a member of the Canadian Bar Association, the Ontario Bar Association, and Hamilton Law Association and the Law Society of Upper Canada.
