Courts

We regularly appear before many different courts including provincial and superior courts, as well as the Ontario Divisional Court, Ontario Court of Appeal and the Federal Court in judicial review and appellate proceedings.

The range of matters that we deal with is as diverse as our practice areas and includes human rights and Charter litigation, wrongful dismissal actions, health and safety, injunctions and environmental issues before the courts and tribunals.


Arbitration

We provide experienced advocacy for employers at rights as well as interest arbitrations. We are regularly involved in arbitration disputes concerning: management rights, discipline, human rights and accommodation, harassment and discrimination, attendance management, job posting and seniority issues, restructuring and layoffs, and compensation and benefit entitlement.


Tribunals

We represent clients in hearings before the Ontario Labour Relations Board, the Canada Industrial Relations Board, the Workplace Safety and Insurance Appeals Tribunal, the Human Rights Tribunal and the Information and Privacy Commission.


Human Rights

Employers are obligated to provide a discrimination and harassment free workplace. The consequences for employers who fail to meet their obligations are increasingly significant. We have extensive experience with litigating human rights issues before arbitrators, tribunals and in the Courts.
