JANE M. GOODING


Areas of Practice

Ms. Jane M. Gooding joined Evans, Philp LLP as a summer student in 2004. Following completion of her articles at Evans, Philp LLP, and her call to the bar in 2006, Ms. Gooding became an active member of our Management Labour and Employment Law Group. Ms. Gooding now practices almost exclusively in labour, human rights and disability law. She has appeared before private arbitrators, the Human Rights Tribunal, the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board and the courts.


Education

Prior to joining Evans Philp, Ms. Gooding graduated from McMaster University where she obtained her Honours B.Sc. in Biology, Dean’s Honour List. Following her undergraduate degree, Ms. Gooding worked as a Laboratory Technical at the Princess Margaret Hospital in the lab of Dr. Mitsu Ikura. In 2002, Ms. Gooding attend at the University of Western Ontario were she obtained her LL.B.


Professional Associations and Community Involvement

Ms. Gooding currently sits as the Vice-Chair of the Board of Directors for Today’s Family and as member of the Hamilton Health Sciences Volunteer Association Board of Directors. Ms. Gooding takes great pride in her role on Evans Philp’s Student Committee charged with student recruitment and mentorship. Ms. Gooding is a member of the Hamilton Law Association and Ontario Bar Association.
